Aqua Comms a leading provider of global subsea connectivity services delivered through an extensive portfolio of owner and operated subsea systems. Aqua Comms offers connectivity networking solutions including managing capacity services, spectrum and dark fibre to the global content, cloud and carrier markets.
Aqua Comms is the owner and operator of America Europe Connect-1 (AEC-1), America Europe Connect-2 (AEC-2), and CeltixConnect-1 (CC-1). In addition, they are operating D9’s new 10,000km EMIC-1 cable between Europe and India, connecting 3 billion people, in partnership with a global tech business.
SeaEdge UK1 is data centre asset and subsea fibre landing station, located on the UK’s largest data centre campus in Newcastle. Data centre operator, Stellium Data Centres Ltd, occupies and operates the asset via a 25-year occupational lease.
SeaEdge UK1 Is the UK’s only landing point for the new North Sea Connect cable, which hosts AEC-1 and AEC-2, both owned and operated by D9’s cornerstone subsea fibre platform Aqua Comms. The landing station is also used to connect the NO-UK subsea cable, connecting Alitbox Carrier’s Norwegian network to the North East of England.
